Cut the bridge, go down, light the Old King's Antechamber bonfire, run past the Sandworm and light the Demon Ruins bonfire. Defeat the Old Demon King. If there is no rescue plan in place, by the time you reach the sewers (maybe earlier), Greirat is dead. Irithyll is easily the touchiest area regarding DkS3 quests, and if you're not careful, Greirat will die.. Kneader
