Lincoln sp 125 plus problems

Nov 25, 2011 · Screwing around with this machine and trying to teach myself to weld - a friend is selling to me over time for $300 which seemed like a good deal.... any way I started to use it and it was working just fine and the wire stopped feeding and some of the wire got tangled on the spool.

One sure sign is if the wire burns back in the contact tip. That could mean about 10 different things. Is this what is happening. John. The 10-24 set screw that holds the original liner in place was too long for the new liner so I substituted a shorter one.You need to blow out your cable liner, while your doing this make sure your contact tip is clean and unobstructed. Also make sure that your drive roll tension is not to much, enough to move the wire but not enough to push it when you have the wire held at the gun.Cleanliness in a wirefeed insures problem free usability. 926. It could possibly be that you liner is kinked from being coiled too tightly. Another thing to try first is when you are welding is keep the cable to the gun straight as possible.
