I bought the quad about a week ago, everything worked great other than the fact it had no rear brakes. I went to go out and play in the mud a bit this weekend, and fell thru some ice into a swamp, just over the bottom of the running boards, the quad continued running and never died.

The front you just use normal 10w40 motorcycle oil. Try this: "Rotate the motor while watching the intake valve open and close. Go to the T mark on the flywheel. This is TDC on the compression stroke. If the compression comes up its the rings if not maybe valves or something else that leaking alot. Like. if you a volt meter check the power of the battery,it should be about 12volts. with it not running.but if it is 9.5 v to lower replace the battery. now if its running the voltage should only be about 13-14 volts.any higher then the voltage regulater is prolly faulty and in need of replacemet. oh yeah and get some new bulbs for the lights after ...

If the radiator is full of coolant, the problem is most likely the thermostat. The fan switch is in the radiator, so it does not get hot enough to kick on when the thermostat is stuck shut.
